Taylor's Law School Awards Ceremony 2021

On 21st April 2021, Taylor's Law School held their award ceremony emceed by Jake Lau Jia Kai and Nimesha Theva. Whilst this year’s award ceremony was conducted online, there was no shortage of deserving winners. The event commenced with Professor Dr Khong Kok Wei, the Executive Dean of the faculty of business and law, giving a warm welcome address. This was subsequently followed by Mr Harcharan Singh, moot master and senior lecturer, who eloquently introduced the occasional speaker, Mr Robert Lazar. Mr Robert of RL Group Law Practise gave an enlightening speech on the topic of COVID-19, and its impact on the legal profession in Malaysia.

The event went on smoothly, with a few technical glitches here and there (everyone is still getting used to the idea of an unprecedented online ceremony). The award recipient received book prizes sponsored by Taylor's University's distinguished Legal Profession Partners. All in all, it was a heartwarming event giving recognition to all the especially deserving students that overcame the challenges and excelled academically.

Lexicon thanks all the 300 people in attendance of the event, with special regards to the learned practitioners who presented the awards, Mr Robert Lazar for his wonderful speech, and Taylor’s Faculty, especially the lecturers in charge of this event: Dr Sia Chin Chin, Dr Bhuvanes, Ms Suzanna, Mr Harcharan and Associate Professor Dr Harmahinder Singh! A massive congratulations go out to the accomplished winners for their brilliant performance.

If you missed out on the event and would like to watch it, you may do so here.
